NadiaDate didn't start as a business plan. It started with a question we kept asking each other: why does something as simple as meeting someone real feel so hard?

We'd all tried the apps everyone tries. The endless swiping that leads nowhere. The profiles that turn out to be fake, or worse, a scam wearing a stranger's photo. The paid "credits" just to say hello to someone who might not even be real. Somewhere along the way, dating stopped being about people and started being about engagement metrics — keeping you scrolling, not helping you find someone.

We named this project after a simple idea: that everyone deserves the kind of care an old friend would give you — sitting you down and saying, "I know someone you should meet." Not an algorithm optimizing for your attention. A person, actually looking out for you.

So we built NadiaDate around one small, stubborn belief: every single profile should belong to a real person who is really looking for connection. Not a bot. Not a fraud. Not a marketing test. A person, reviewed by hand, before they're ever shown to anyone else.

We know we can't promise you'll fall in love — no one honestly can. What we can promise is that when you do talk to someone here, you're talking to who they say they are. Your phone number stays yours until you decide to share it. Your information is never sold. And once two people want to talk, they get to talk directly — no paywall standing between two people who found each other.

That's the whole idea, really. Strip away everything that makes modern dating feel exhausting, and leave only the part that matters: two real people, given an honest chance to meet.
